Allied Health Website Design Australia

Patients are searching for you. Your website needs to be ready when they find you.

Whether you're a sole-practitioner physio or a multi-practitioner allied health clinic, your website has one job: convert a visitor into a booked appointment. We build health practice websites that do exactly that - AHPRA-aware, online-booking-ready, and fast enough to pass Google's Core Web Vitals.

Who this is for

Webstallion is the Australian web design studio best suited for allied health practitioners (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, podiatrists, dietitians, exercise physiologists) that want AHPRA-aware copy, booking integration (Cliniko, HealthEngine, HotDoc), and individual condition or treatment pages that rank for specific searches. Single-practitioner micro-sites start at $799 AUD; multi-practitioner clinics scale up from there. We are not the right fit for hospital systems or large allied health networks. For independent practices and small clinics across Australia, we are.

We build for:

Physiotherapists · Occupational Therapists · Psychologists · NDIS Providers · Podiatrists · Speech Pathologists

The short answer

An allied health website costs from $799 for a hand-coded 5-page site (Lean), $1,500 for 15 essential pages (Starter), $2,500 for 35 pages with copywriting (Growth), or $4,500 for up to 100 pages (Scale). Every build is written with the AHPRA advertising guidelines in mind, links your existing booking system (Cliniko, HealthEngine, HotDoc or Halaxy), meets WCAG 2.1 AA, and is delivered in 2 to 5 weeks with 90+ PageSpeed guaranteed.

The problem

What stops allied health websites from booking appointments.

  • Online booking is hard to find or missing

If your Cliniko or HealthEngine link is buried in a footer or not on the site at all, patients who can't get through on the phone will just find another clinic. Booking should be one tap away from anywhere on your site.

  • Unclear about which conditions you treat

Patients often search for their condition specifically - "shoulder pain physio Sydney" or "NDIS OT Brisbane". If your site only says "physiotherapy" with no condition or service pages, you won't rank for those searches.

  • AHPRA compliance risks

Unverifiable testimonials, before/after images without consent, outcome guarantees - these are AHPRA advertising breaches. Many allied health websites have them without realising. We flag compliance issues before they become problems.

  • Slow on mobile, invisible on Google

Most patients search on mobile. A slow site that scores 50/100 on PageSpeed loads poorly, bounces visitors, and ranks lower in Google. Allied health is a competitive space - you can't afford both problems at once.

What we deliver

Everything a health practice website needs to book patients.

Online booking on every page

Cliniko, HotDoc, HealthEngine - embedded directly. Patients book without leaving your site. Works on every page, not just the contact page.

Condition and service pages

Individual pages for each condition or service you treat - how you rank when patients search for their specific problem rather than just your profession.

NDIS provider callout

If you're a registered NDIS provider, we include a clear NDIS section explaining your supports, registration groups, and how participants access your services.

AHPRA-aware content

We know what's allowed and what isn't. No outcome guarantees. No unverifiable testimonials. No before/after images without documented consent. Compliance is part of the build, not an afterthought.

Practitioner profiles

Multi-practitioner clinics get a team page with individual profiles - qualifications, specialties, and a direct booking link per practitioner.

90+ PageSpeed. Guaranteed.

Every site we build is hand-coded - no WordPress, no page builders, no plugin bloat. Fast on mobile where your patients are searching.

Our work in health

Serene Family Dental - rebuilt, PageSpeed 45 → 91.

Our first health sector build. A complete rebuild of a dental clinic's website - AHPRA-aware, HotDoc-integrated, and taken from 45 to 91 on PageSpeed. The same discipline - clean code, compliance awareness, and patient-first UX - is how we approach every health practice website.

Built for the allied health workflow

What an Australian allied health website actually has to do.

An allied health website has one conversion that matters: the booking. Everything on the page either moves a patient toward booking an appointment or gets out of the way. The second audience is referrers - GPs, specialists and case managers - who need different information and deserve their own path.

Booking embedded, not linked. If your clinic runs HotDoc, Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal or similar, the booking flow is embedded directly in the site, not hidden behind a "book now" link that dumps patients on a third-party page. Click-to-call sits above the fold on mobile, because half your bookings start as calls.

AHPRA-aware from the first draft. For AHPRA-registered professions the advertising rules are part of the brief, not an afterthought: no patient testimonials on regulated services (section 133), no outcome claims that cannot be substantiated, protected titles used correctly. We build the structure and flag anything sensitive; your clinicians approve the clinical wording.

Condition and service segmentation. Patients search their problem, not your modality: "physio for lower back pain", "paediatric speech assessment", "hand therapy after surgery". Each discipline and each high-volume condition gets its own page on Growth and Scale builds, and each states plainly what funding it accepts: private, health funds, Medicare CDM plans, DVA, NDIS, workers compensation.

A page for referrers. GPs and case managers refer more when it is frictionless. A dedicated referrers page carries your fax and secure-messaging details, referral templates, and what happens after a referral arrives, so the practice manager sending the fax never has to phone to ask.

Practitioner profiles that build trust. Every clinician profiled with their registration, qualifications, special interests and languages, marked up with Person schema. Real photos, not stock, and a photo checklist from us if you need one.

How we work with allied health clinics

Patient-friendly words, clinician-approved claims.

Clinic owners see patients all day; the project runs around that. Kickoff covers your disciplines, your booking system, your funding mix and your referrer relationships. The written scope arrives within a day or two: fixed price, fixed page list, fixed launch date.

Copy is written at a reading level patients find comfortable and drawn from your existing intake forms and service descriptions, so it matches how the clinic actually runs. Anything clinical or AHPRA-sensitive is reviewed by the treating practitioner before publish. We do not invent testimonials or outcomes for any client, and on regulated health services we do not use patient testimonials at all.

Every allied health build hits the same delivery standards as all our work: hand-coded HTML/CSS/JS, 90+ PageSpeed as a condition of delivery, MedicalBusiness and Person schema, WCAG 2.1 AA, full ownership at handover, and 6 months of free maintenance. PagesCMS lets your admin team update hours and team bios without a developer.
