Backlink opportunities for Australian businesses
Pick your industry and state. You get a working checklist of the links an Australian business can realistically earn: chambers, associations, licensing registers, council directories and the general listings. Most of them are free.
A living document, and how to read it
Most entries link straight to the page you sign up on, and each one shows what it costs and roughly how long it takes. Entries marked Used by us are ones Webstallion holds a live listing on, so we know they accept Australian businesses. A few say Find yours and give you a search rather than a link: your council, your chamber and your industry register genuinely differ by state and suburb, and a guessed URL would be worse than none. We do not publish domain authority scores, because the honest figures for most of these are unknown and a made-up number is worse than no number. If you find something worth adding, tell us and it goes in.

How to work through it
- Write down your starting number first. Google Search Console, Links, count the distinct referring domains. Without this you cannot tell whether any of it worked.
- Use identical details everywhere. Business name, address and phone number, character for character, on every listing and on your website. Inconsistency actively works against you.
- Do the quick ones first. They are marked. Most take a few minutes and cost nothing.
- Check back in a month, on the same day, and count referring domains again.
The reasoning behind all of this, including why cheap bought links are not worth considering, is in how to get backlinks in Australia, honestly.
